General Purpose
Portland Cement |
|
TYPE GP
Type GP is suitable for most applications in the building and
construction industries. Good early strength gain makes it particularly suitable
for precast product manufacturers, or where early stripping of formwork is
desirable. Type GP complies with AS 3972.

General Purpose
Slag Blend |
|
TYPE GB
Containing a
nominal 30% ground blast furnace slag, Type GB Slag Blend can be substituted
for Type GP cement in many applications with its main advantages coming
through lowering the heat of cement hydration and improved concrete
durability.
Strength gain is slightly less than Type GP up to 28 days, but higher later
age strengths can be expected. Type GB Slag Blend complies with AS3972.

Shrinkage Limiting Cement
|
|
TYPE SL
Sunstate Type SL is manufactured from normal portland cement clinker but is milled to a lower fineness than Type GP. There is a resultant reduction in early strength development, but this is accompanied by reduced shrinkage of the cement paste. This can be particularly useful in structures such as pavements where excessive shrinkage may
result in unplanned cracking and reduced serviceability. Type SL complies with
AS 3972.

General Purpose
Flyash Blend |
|
TYPE GB
Flyash is a by-product of coal fired powerstations and when combined
with normal portland cement can provide an economical alternative to
Type GP cement with both physical and chemical advantages.
Sunstate Cement Ltd utilises a nominal 25% flyash substitution to create
a cement with improved workability and pumpability, as well as increased
resistance to sulfate attack and alkili-silicate reaction. Type GB
Flyash Blend complies with AS 3972 as both Type GB and sulfate resisting
Type SR.

SUNLITE
Sunlite is produced from a specially
manufactured light-coloured portland cement clinker which provides its unique
colour. When combined with suitable aggregates and oxides a range of
architectural and decorative finishes can be attained. These can be utilised
as renders or mortars, or in mass concrete structures such as bridges,
buildings and pavements. Sunlite complies with AS3972 as a high early strength
cement, Type HE and is particularly useful for manufacturers of precast
architectural concrete products.
