Sunstate Cement Ltd (SCL) respects personal privacy and takes all reasonable steps to ensure that all personal information is lawfully handled.

SCL is committed to the compliance of the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, which commenced December 2001, and the privacy provisions of all applicable legislation.

SCL is bound by the National Privacy Principles and is committed to enforcing compliance with them when handling personal information.

Collection & Use of Information
With the exception of employee records, which are exempt from privacy legislation, Sunstate Cement Ltd only collects information about customer's directors, partners, sole traders and job applicants. The personal information collected is name, address, date of birth and credit history where applicable.

SCL will only collect and use information that is necessary for one or more of our business functions or activities. If we collect sensitive information (as defined under the Act), we will treat it with the utmost security and confidentiality. We will ensure that it is not collected for any purposes, other than those for which we have obtained the individual's consent, unless the law requires otherwise, or other exceptional circumstances prevail as described under the Act.
